Nikifor (Epifaniusz Drowniak) is one of the most fascinating artists of the 20th –century Europe: self-taught and half-illiterate, the man was as enigmatic as he was controversial. While the major part of his life was spent in grinding poverty, he gained, towards the end of his time, international recognition and had his works exhibited in some of the most prestigious art galleries in the world.
