Eugeniusz Zak (1884–1926) is one of the most famous Polish painters in France. He was a teacher at the Académie de La Palette, contributed to the establishment of the artistic group “Rytm”, worked with the magazine “Kunst und Deutsche Dekoration”, founded his own art gallery “Gallerie Zak”, was even offered the position of the rector at the Fine Art Academy in Cologne. His art was powered by his imagination and dominated by portraits.
