Wojciech Weiss (1875–1950) – painter, draughtsman, and graphic artist, one of the top representatives of Young Poland. Three-time rector of the Academy of Fine Arts in Kraków, actively involved with the local artistic circles. Fascinated by the philosophy and aesthetics of Young Poland, at first he created pessimistic and decadent paintings full of distress and passion.

The fourth mini-album in the “Medallists” series is devoted to the sport career of one of the most famous Polish female athletes – Stanisława Walasiewicz-Olson (1911–1980), an Olympic champion and multiple world record breaker.

The mini-album presents the art by Artur Grottger (1837–1867), who is considered one of the top representatives of romanticism in painting and drawing. In his works, he mostly touched upon historical topics. However, he made a name for himself not through oil paintings or watercolours, but through patriotic series of drawings, which are now considered classics of Polish national art.

The album is dedicated to design, interiors, and fashion in the pre-war Poland, in the period from the famous International Exhibition in Paris in 1925 until 1939. It presents the most interesting furniture, decorative ceramics, tableware, cars, motorcycles, and even train engine designs.

“Timothy Mouse and Fred Hedgehog. Hunting Art Thieves” by Dagmara Budzbon-Szymańska is a detective story for preschoolers and young children. The main protagonists, curious Timothy and sluggish Fred, accidentally learn about plans of stealing a famous painting from one of London museums.

Ferdynand Ruszczyc (1870–1936) – painter, graphic designer, and draughtsman, leader of symbolism in the art of Young Poland. Initially, at the urging of his father Edward, he enrolled in a law course in Saint Petersburg, but he quickly gave it up in favour of studying at the local Academy of Fine Arts, from which he graduated in 1897.

Edvard Munch is one of the most famous artists, and his painting “The Scream” is an iconic work recognised all over the world. As a child, the artist lost his mother, and soon also his sister.
