Edward Dwurnik is famous for his complex painting series characterised by grotesque and drawing-like expression. He was a prolific artist, who kept a detailed record of all of his works. His art mirrored the transformations taking place in Poland, which can be observed e.g. in the series that referred to the martial law – Warsaw (1981). The rich selection of the artist’s pieces is enriched by a text by Maria Anna Potocka, a curator and art critic.
