The retrospective album presents the artistic output of Stanisław Baj (born in 1953) – a painter, draughtsman, teacher, professor at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw, winner of multiple awards, e.g. the prestigious Kazimierz Ostrowski Painting Award. A special part of Stanisław Baj’s works are portraits of his mother – a particular study of passing. Crucial to his art are also other portraits, mainly of peasants, genre scenes inspired by the countryside, and landscapes of the River Bug and the surrounding area. In addition, the album features texts on the artist’s career written by a friend of him, Wiesław Myśliwski, and experts on his art, Magdalena Sołtys and Anna Wachta.
