The first volume of “The Book of World Dragons” portrays the figures and stories of over one hundred dragons and their snake-like relatives belonging to the world of ancient civilisations from the Mediterranean area, the Near and Middle East. The book describes gruesome reptiles known from the traditions of the Egyptians, Mesopotamians, Anatolians, Levantines, Iranians, Armenians, Greeks, Romans, as well as the Bible and the Apocrypha, up to the late Christian antiquity.
The text is accompanied by outstanding illustrations by Mikita Rasolka.
