Kazimierz Gustaw Zemła (born 1931) – one of the most famous modern Polish sculptors. Graduate and teacher and for a few years also dean of the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw. Author of over 60 solo exhibitions, awarded the Order of Polonia Restituta Grand Cross. The album presents the artist’s most important works, including: the Silesian Insurgents’ Monument in Katowice, the Monument to the Deed of Poles in Szczecin, the Monument to the Fallen Undefeated and the Monument to the Battle of Monte Cassino in Warsaw, as well as a number of monuments to John Paul II.
