They include, e.g. Jan Szczepanik – dubbed the “Edison from the Vistula River”, Kazimierz Prószyński and his famous biopleograph, Erazm Jerzmanowski – the man who illuminated America, Kazimierz Żegleń, who saved millions with his silk body armour – the prototype of the bulletproof vest, Rudolf Weigl – the inventor of the first effective typhus vaccine, the “Pole of Steel” or Tadeusz Sendzimir, engineer Rudolf Modrzejewski, and researcher Bronisław Piłsudski, as well as many other amazing Poles.
