Ghosty. Stories for Children of All Ages by Jacek Cygan, with beautiful illustrations, is a friendly and thought-provoking story of Ghosty, who wanders around the various corners of the Useless Things Warehouse in order to find help for a damaged lamp. The inquisitive protagonist, peeking into various rooms, discovers not only the functions of items, but also their tough life after being thrown into the rubbish bin. On his way, Ghosty encounters, among others, watches that still measure time, alarm clocks replaced by phones, as well as dust-covered cages and abacuses. He even takes part in the Song Festival, featuring the stunning band “Vaudeville Hats”. During his journey, he recalls the good times when he – like the hundreds of things that he passes by – enjoyed a happy life among people. Interestingly enough, the story contains songs sung by the abandoned items, which will definitely ring a bell to all fans of Jacek Cygan’s art.
