“The Sinful Bohemia” is a particularly captivating book by Stefania Krzysztofowicz-Kozakowska. The author discusses the intriguing topics of scandals in the Polish artistic life in the interwar period. The fascinating story at first introduces us into the artistic world of the Young Poland. The next chapters present the events that at the time outraged the elites, as well as the artists, who shocked the public opinion. The leading characters of the affairs were e.g. Witkacy, Stanisław Szukalski, and Władysław Strzemiński. The outrageous incidents were not male-dominated; famous ladies of the interbellum also took part, e.g. Zofia Stryjeńska, Tamara de Lempicka, and Katarzyna Kobro.
