Zbigniew Pełczyński. A Life Remembered is a biography of an eminent Polish philosopher, long-standing lecturer at the Oxford University, Professor Zbigniew Pełczyński. Throughout eleven chapters, the author, David McAvoy, a former student of Prof. Pełczyński, describes the life of his mentor, starting from his childhood in the period of World War 2, his participation in the Warsaw Uprising, his migration to Great Britain and the development of his rich, successful academic career. The book also contains tens of photographs including from the family archives.
