The twenty first volume in the “Poster” series is devoted to the art by Professor Michał Kliś involved with the Academy of Fine Arts in Katowice, where he was a rector between 2001–2005. He is an author of paintings, posters and applied graphics. He has been presented with a number of prestigious awards for posters and applied art, e.g. Gold Medals at the Biennial of Polish Poster in Katowice (1987, 1999, 2001) and Bronze Medal at the International Triennial of Stage Poster Sofia (2001). Kliś’s works can be found in many museums and private collections, e.g. in Bielsko-Biała, Poznań, Wilanów, Lahti, Vatican, New York and Sydney. His art is clearly inspired by the undulating landscapes of the Beskid Mountains. The introduction and selection of works in the mini-album was prepared by Zdzisław Schubert.
