The illustrations selected for the book – historical caricatures, landscapes, plant studies, interior designs, stage designs, and costumes – were created with the use of pencil, crayons, charcoal, ink, and pastels. The foreword to the publication is written by Magdalena Laskowska, an art historian, keeper of the National Museum in Kraków, and curator of the exhibition Wyspiański. Unknown.
