Józef Mroszczak’s posters include traces of folklore reflecting his creative personality and temperament. His works are dominated by vivid colours: green, red, blue and yellow – associated with folk art. Later on, Mroszczak also reached for non-painting means of expression, such as fragments of fabric or lace, and in his advertising posters, he used the language of typography, signs and information. His works were exhibited e.g. in Paris, Milan, Stockholm, Vienna, or London. The book also contains an introduction by Dorota Folga-Januszewska and it is part of a series on the most famous Polish poster artists.
