The fifth album in our popular FOTO RETRO series focuses on Warsaw in the last decade of the Polish People’s Republic before the fall of communism.

1940s Warsaw, the first volume of a new series FOTO RETRO by Wydawnictwo Bosz, is the result of cooperation with the National Digital Archives. This is a unique illustrated book that overcomes stereotypes and tells the story of the capital of Poland in pictures.

W szóstym już albumie z serii FOTO RETRO cofamy czas o blisko wiek, by pokazać naszą stolicę w latach 1920-1930. Do miasta, zaniedbanego i zubożałego w okresie okupacji niemieckiej lat 1915-1918, wraca wielkomiejskie życie.

The book was created on the occasion of one of the exhibitions of photographs by the most famous Polish sports photographer, Leszek Fidusiewicz, and his friends who were invited to contribute. It features iconic photographs and their artistic interpretation by his friends artists. 

Our third album in the MOTO RETRO series features the fleet of the Second Polish Republic. When Poland re-emerged on the map of Europe as an independent country following World War I, it simultaneously gained a 140-kilometre-long strip of the Baltic coast and immediately began the construction of strategic shipbuilding hubs.

The second album in our MOTO RETRO series is dedicated to aviation in interwar Poland.

The first album in our MOTO RETRO series is dedicated to cars and motorbikes which used to fill the streets and roads of pre-war Poland.

Children in the Polish People’s Republic” is an album containing stunning photographs of the world of children in the Polish People’s Republic. The photographer — Wiesław Zieliński — tells a story of this magical period of life, bringing back childhood memories to everyone who were kids in the 1960s and 1970s.
