The Łazienki Królewskie Park (Royal Baths Park) in Warsaw is a unique place where beautiful architecture meets nature. The entire park complex which consists of three gardens, the Palace on the Isle, Old Orangery, Myślewicki Palace, Amphitheatre and other architecturally interesting buildings, covers the area of 76 hectares. The album features archival photographs of the park from the years 1915-1939, the period before the Nazi occupation and destruction of the city in World War II. The topographical layout of the photographs creates an impression of a virtual walk in the park, and each picture is accompanied by a commentary written by an eminent philosopher and historian, Professor Władysław Tatarkiewicz. Available in a bilingual Polish-English version.
